Powered by 22 points off turnovers and a late push in overtime from Ty-Shon Alexander, the Creighton men’s basketball team defeated Providence 76-70 in overtime on Wednesday, March 6.
The victory, Creighton’s fourth straight, moved the Bluejays to 17-13 on the season and into a five-way tie for third place at 8-9 in BIG EAST play. Providence fell to 16-14 overall and 6-11 in conference action.
Creighton closes out the regular season on Saturday, March 9 as the Bluejays host DePaul at 7:00 pm at CHI Health Center Omaha. Following the game seniors Connor Cashaw and Kaleb Joseph, plus three senior managers, will be honored on the home floor for the final time.
