Coach’s Corner: Talk With Midland VB, FB Coaches & Players

FREMONT – No. 9-ranked Midland University Volleyball came away with a sweep of No. 25 College of Saint Mary in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night (25-16, 26-24, 25-14). The Warriors pick up their 12th win of the year improving to 12-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

The Warriors were led on offense by sophomore Brooke Fredricksen with 12 kills.  Coach Paul Giesselmann feels Fredricksen is playing very well, lately:

The Warriors Volleyball team will host Hastings College, Wednesday night.

On the football field, the Midland Warrior team returns to action this Saturday, at top-ranked and defending national champion, Morningside College.  Warrior senior left tackle Daniel Jahn is a team captain and an Accounting Major with 3.9 GPA from Millard North.  Jahn is looking forward to playing the Mustangs:

Kickoff Saturday at Elwood Olson Stadium is 1:30pm. The game will be broadcast on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM.
