The Fremont Moo opened up a three game home series by defeated the Casper Horseheads, 5-4, Tuesday night at Moller Field. Michael Attahlah earned the win, pitching six innings and striking out six. Second baseman Peter Carlson, from Northwest Missouri State, hit two home runs, going 3-for-3 with four rbi’s. The Moo are now 15-22 on the year and take on Casper again, tonight, at 6:35, at Moller Field.
Curt Smith tied a club season-high with five RBI, Josh Mazzola became the fifth player in league history to 700 hits, and Shairon Martis took a no-hitter into the 7th inning of a 9-2 win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Haymarket Park on Tuesday night.
The ‘Dogs and Goldeyes will play Game 2 of the three-game series on Wednesday night. First-pitch time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
