Baseball Bytes: Fremont Moo, Legion & More – July 2nd

Fremont Moo

The Fremont Moo defeated the Hastings Sodbusters, 8-4, last night at Duncan Field.  The Moo put the game out of reach with a five run fifth inning.  Michael Attalah, from Bellevue CC in Washington earned the win, working 5.2 innings, striking out eight.  The Moo are 12-20 and have an off day, today, before beginning at three game series at Pierre, versus the Trappers, Wednesday night at 7:05.

Legion

The Blair senior legion baseball team defeated Omaha South, last night, 7-3.  Both the juniors and seniors play at Waterloo/Valley tonight.  The juniors play at 5:30 and the seniors play at 8:00.

The First State Bank American Legion Reserve baseball team is in action tonight, hosting Bellevue West, at Novak Field.  First pitch is 6pm.

Lincoln Saltdogs

The Lincoln Saltdogs and St. Paul Saints were suspended after three scoreless innings at CHS Field on Monday night.

The delay came around 9 p.m. when persistent and heavy rain began to fall. The game was also delayed 55 minutes from the original first-pitch time of 7:05 p.m. because of inclement weather.
