Baseball Bytes: Creighton Dominates UNO, Storm Chasers Sweep Iowa


Will Robertson and Jake Holton each hit grand slams and Dylan Tebrake tossed five innings of one-hit ball as Creighton dominated in all phases of a 13-2 victory over Nebraska-Omaha on Tuesday, May 14. The game featured a rare 11 am start and attracted a crowd of 8,375 on Cox Kids Day.

Creighton improved to 32-11 with the victory, its 25th in the last 31 games, while Nebraska-Omaha fell to 27-19-1. Both teams will be home this weekend with a chance to win a regular-season conference title.

Creighton closes the regular-season with a home series against Villanova, which begins Thursday night at 6:30 pm.


Omaha plays host to Oral Roberts for a three-game series Thursday, May 14, through Saturday, May 16. The first game of the series begins at 4 p.m.
