Train Derailment South of Fremont Still in Clean Up Stage

BLAIR – A train with 144 cars loaded with coal, travelling from Wyoming to Sioux City, derailed yesterday morning just south of Fremont, spilling coal from 23 of those cars.  Union Pacific spokes person Raquel Espinoza says specialized crews are working to clean up the spilled coal and remove the damaged coal cars.  That clean up has heavy equipment working on old highway 275 just south of Fremont and just north of highway 36.  No injuries, so far, are reported from that derailment.
