BLAIR – Flooding in the area has not only stressed homeowners, drivers and others, but it’s also stressing area food pantries – and those food banks and pantries need restocking. Brian Gruenke, with the U.S. Postal Service, says the yearly “Stamp out Hunger” food drive is this weekend. Post cards or brown grocery bags are being delivered to postal patrons in the area. Non perishable foods donated in the Blair area will be taken to the Washington County food pantry. Brian says you can also drop off donations at the post office, there will be a special bin just for that purpose. The drive is in it’s 17th year in both Blair and Fremont.
