BLAIR – The decommissioning process at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station is on schedule, under budget and going smoothly, according to Omaha Public Power District’s Cris Averett.  He says many of the Fort Calhoun workers have stayed on with OPPD.  77 former Ft. Calhoun workers are working in other capacities for the district.  Cris says the utility wanted to show gratitude for those who worked the Fort Calhoun plant by keeping them with OPPD where possible.
